I was counting days Thinking it’s just a phase And I hoped for a brand new start Didn’t wanna to chase You while thinking of ways How to make it not fall apart But it’s not a romcom More like Stockholm syndrome That I tried to avoid in vain I left my comfort zone No more whining at home But it’s still giving me migraine Remember, back then you promised so much I somehow believed it all The higher my expectations are The lower I’ll have to fall I have been so disappointed many times And suffered such hard setbacks Learnt never to get my hopes up much So there will be no regrets I may not always be right You may not mean to be harsh There is nothing black and white But I’ve got a hunch Again going round in circles there Insane pressure, is this even fair? This gaaaame’s getting on my nerves The same patterns that we chose I hide coz I can’t admit It is better for me to quit They say it won’t change a bit Another day has gone by And the harder I try This is more than I could bear now.
