Nostalgic College Days

Those were the days when I didn't seem to care at all No worries, no regrets, relished life, had a ball Ready to take on the world thinking I'd be the king Not being bothered that life would be a ring Never knew all the while life was just flirting with me Never did I guess that life was just playing with me Totally fooled by the grotesqueness life potrayed Delightful days when commands of mine life obeyed Wishfully thinking that the world was my Oyster Life was blissful, not a clue it would be harder Wish I could relive those days of ecstasy Rewind myself into that world of fantasy Filled to the brim with dreams of sugar and melodies Unaware of the precise meaning of tragedy Imagined that life had a soft corner for me Now I think of those days almost endlessly
