Hypnotic Haze

I've been chasing the sunsets a lot recently because the colours in the sky they make me feel free When everything is written in plain sight but I just want to keep it out of my mind I'll take a drink or two I know it's just afternoon but I need to clear my head again Until I'm walking down the street, where the alleyways and lampposts will look the same to me And when the comedown hits that's when I have to leave, because I've said too much for one evening I'm stumbling in the dark, just trying to not let myself fall apart but you won't let That happen either way you're telling me that everything is going to be ok I'm telling you things that I've kept buried deep, I'm trying to stop but these words need to breath I know it's not fair to lay this on you, because it weighs a ton and the floor's falling threw So stop me mid sentence so you don't have to hear the rest, but you just nod while you listen instead But don't look me in my eyes, I'm seeing everything in a haze tonight And when the comedown hits that's when I have to leave, because I've said too much for one evening I'm stumbling in the dark, just trying to not let myself fall apart but you won't let That happen either way you're telling me that everything is going to be ok It's 2am and I'm fading Where did the night go?
