For Windy Wilds

Eclipse the city glow, find the clearest skies Stars sintered on a black dome so defiant Pinpricks shine out as bright as the sun Encircling the moon in her cold prison And the air is sharp and thin Icy lungs when you breathe in And you start to shiver slightly And the stars will shimmer kindly These mountains are still sanctuaries of peace A palace without walls and infinite ceiling Fireflies float slowly as they start blinking Look to the sky, lost in all of your thinking And the air is dark and still And your eyes are starlight-filled And so you wander blindly The constellations guiding There's something about now that just feels so real A brilliant cocktail of comfort and fear It's kinda thrilling to know nothing is planned But I'm kind of scared so will you hold my hand
