I'm thankful choose a new angle¹, 10 toes down all the way to the ankle², make it out the woods now them crackers want to hang you³, peace to my ancestors every day im thankful⁴, working in them fields everyday hands mangled⁵, just so we can kill each other I know it's painful⁶, still thank you I mean thank yall⁷, long as we stand together then we can't fall⁸, thank my lady for holding me down⁹, helping me break free and turning me around¹⁰, i always locked lost in the dark¹¹, still gave me the key to ya heart¹², my baby girl 2 yrs from college¹³, smart like my sister she blessed with the knowledge¹⁴, my sons locked in damn near twins¹⁵, from boys to men we all gone win¹⁶..
