In a proud Northern city, on a warm summer night People came together, to enjoy the nights delight And they sang and they danced, whilst the time ticked away Unaware of the danger, that was heading their way Together, we're beautiful  We stand so tall together Together, we're beautiful  Inspiration to us all When the music had finished, It was time to depart As the evil came to them, tearing families apart Brought to destroy them, hoping to divide An attack on the innocent, leaving nowhere to hide Caught up amongst the hate and the fear Is a passion for life that we all hold so dear Together, we're beautiful  We stand so tall together Together, we're beautiful  Inspiration to us all Yet out of the smoke, and the pain and the hurt Raised the spirit of people, trying to show what they're worth Where people became saviours, and nurses grew wings Emergency services, the best of these things But the people of these cities, where life is so tough United, no hate here only Love Together, we're beautiful  We stand so tall together Together, we're beautiful  Inspiration to us all This madness must never be allowed to divide The North and the South need to stand side by side Against the acts, and the causes which create all of this The need for peace, cannot be missed Together, we're beautiful  We stand so tall together Together, we're beautiful  Inspiration to us all
