Unblemished Lamb

As I walk through the house of the Lord All is still, knees on the floor I come ashamed yet undisturbed Because my Lord knows I thirst As He lifts up the bread and the wine Something shifts in space and time I remember the words He said Take and eat, I am the living bread And who can understand it? It's not the flesh of just any man It's the unblemished Lamb who's slain for me The humble bread and common wine Become the thirsting heart of Jesus Christ As I look up toward the Son I feel His peace, the battle won He came to tell me, He thirsts for me Invites me in to the mystery And who can understand it?
