Verse Do you know where we go when we die Is there really a creator that loves me in the sky How do we know if this is true and this isn't false Did religion mask up death and is Heaven just a great disguise Did Jesus rise? Did he even exist Is there a consequence for sin I try to resist I want to know. I need to actually know Am I wasting my life on something fake like reality shows How do I know the Bible’s true If I knew for sure, I would make more time to abide in you I’ve tried, it’s true. But questions still bounce in my cerebrum Can we trust this being even though we ain’t seen him My mustard seed sized faith really wants to believe That this Jew that walked on water died for me and He freed Us from sin. But it seems too good to be true Especially how other religions claim their god is better than you Chorus What am I doing How do I know which path is right When it’s said and done, will I make it to the afterlife Are you God How do I know you are the light When it’s said and done, will I make it to the afterlife Verse I've been thinking about death ‘cause my time could come any day What happens after that? There seems to be many ways Will my next conscious thought come from a new human body Reincarnated to someone with gruesome hobbies Maybe I won’t be a man. Maybe I’ll be a beetle Just chillin’ on a steep hill Redefining my free will Maybe Heaven is real But not how my church taught it Maybe I’ll swim in rivers of wine with Muhammad the Islamic prophet What if I choose the wrong faith And when I finally hit game over My soul scorches in hot flames And wishes this day came slower Wishes I found Jehovah This is something to wonder Will I ascend or fumble Grow my faith or see it crumble The path to Heaven is narrow So how do I know which to choose I hate this game of Russian Roulette I hope to death I don’t lose Chorus What am I doing How do I know which path is right When it’s said and done, will I make it to the afterlife Are you God How do I know you are the light When it’s said and done, will I make it to the afterlife Verse As a human I question if what I'm livin’ is true Does what I do even matter Has Jesus given His dues So I studied the Word Listened to a couple lectures Watched a few debates And my unbelief became lesser I analyzed the prophecies Pondered what was taught to me Concluded the resurrection is true despite the oddity Since His return was not a figment and in fact was bodily Jesus is the true God every human should be following So my doubt is dead But my spirit will live on My first conscious sight I will see when I cease is Christ ‘Cause Heaven is home LORD, help me believe Death is nothing to fear All the pain in this world will cease Jesus will wipe away every tear Chorus I know what I’m doing Now I know which path is right When it’s said and done, I will make it to the afterlife You are God I know that you are the light When it’s said and done, I will make it to the afterlife
