Dream One (Double Mouse Monocles)

I dreamt I was blank In the sanctum of a lost river Yeux fous aligning my page in bleak arrays Only to lose colour to the swell of my age I looked to a secondary pool What is within you and what compels you Nothing I took away with nothing What could I possibly see, hear and touch Among these dancing particles So many subscriptures may never see light A mouse eyed accountant Said I'd be rich What is to be rich in a life unadorned And when I look up At an unknown time and place I always see glistening and deceiving nothing And if this time ends I'll live a new life with watchers Who could never face the test of time
