Change

I landed at the airport with no shoes The humid air outside had left me fogging out my nose I was the first to drive with brand new clothes (You we're brand new) I was reborn stressed and too immature to leave behind father Then I slept alone for the first time I ate the fools belief that this was where and how I'd die Study hard to live your best life (What do you need?) To climb up to the sky and gain a newfound grand perspective Only then could I justify (The goals we have) So we adjust to please the population that will not change its mind Found you attempting to change so new to this place, and you were so afraid to unglue the mask from your scar spangled face open the wound or bring your parents name to shame No thank you, you saved us We are in your debt Don't even dwell on Just take off your stained clothes and we'll go far And we're back on a plane Sam is traveling to Spain We have little to no fame But hey!
