No forks on my path Ever winding Led by mine shadow Only instinct guiding But am I moving Inward or outward I can not tell In this accursed spiral Time and space are distorting What was once outside Has made its way in What laid dormant so long Has been released The void within is now as vast As the one without That which is above Is as that which is below I am not the hero But the beast in this labyrinth I forge ahead to free myself From this prison made to hold me I follow the path narrowing Arrive at the center Step through the door And into the inner sanctum Where on an altar a prophet stands Anthroparion, a brazen man Who makes sacrifice and is sacrificed Subjected to unendurable torment Delivering his cryptic sermon Anointing me to the mystery His words from my lips echo All things are mingled, all things combine All things separate and unite All things are woven and undone All things flourish, all things fade All things are given and received In accordance to the method He spews forth all of his flesh Turns into his opposite, tears his own flesh With his teeth and sinks into himself He is the leaden man who discards His body and frees himself His words from my lips echo Anthroparion, a brazen man Who makes sacrifice and is sacrificed His words from my lips echo I am the leaden man and I submit Myself to unendurable torment His words from my lips echo Be like the earth Rigid and firm Be like the water Flowing Be like the air Formless and fair Be like the fire Transforming Be like the earth Fertile when turned Be like the water Eroding Be like the air Lay yourself bare Be like the fire Ushering rebirth
