Iridescence

Yo it's all in perception, I see intent in imperfection Iridescence in the trees and seconds turn to weeks of now It feels transcendent, feeding off the speaker's essence Breathing with the beats and getting deeper at the feet of sound ... It's all a message, and all is a lesson Once I've forced all my thoughts through the doors of perception Where cause and effect feels warped in its presence I'll sort out my thoughts and get more for my efforts Like, finitude's fine, don't weep at my corpse 'Cause I was not, I am, and I'll be not once more When my corporeal form is gone with the wind What I leave lives longer than my portion of skin I feel awesome within, like I've finally faced my Demons and know what to make of this strange life Freedom from hate, pride, weakness and shame But it's gone once my mind reverts back to its baseline I took a wrong turn now I'm lost in the forest The light and the sound keep moving around I pick up the pace but I made a mistake Took a wrong turn, now I'm further away Slightly familiar, strangely serene All I can see are beautiful trees Now they're calling to me So I keep going further, follow the leaves The light and the sound Which way is up Which way is out
