Loaded up my suitcase and hopped into my car I had to finally get away from all those late night bars So I went on down the Interstate 'till I saw a neon sign "Welcome to the promised land, y'all have a good ol' time" And I said yeah Alright I am in Alabama tonight I said yeah Alright I am in Alabama tonight So I checked into a hotel down around Mobile I had to find out for myself if Southern belles were real And I met a pretty lady, and when she took my hand I said "tell me I'm not dreamin', girl, is this the promised land?"
