Been There Done That

I got a call from a friend the other day I hadn't talked to in a while I could tell by the sound of her voice she was hurting she was down She said do you have a minute Oh I need somebody to hear me out can you listen to me Can you hear me I've done all that I can do and I'm tired of going through Tell me what's going on When I take one step forward something always seems to pull me back 2 steps If it's not my job or my bills it's worry and stress I can't get that monkey off my back and I'm growing weary every day HOLD ON Let me talk to you I've been there done that and I know just what you're going through I've been there I've done that I could write a book about it cause I've been there and done that I've been there I've done that and I know just what you're going through Hold on let me talk to you Cause child I've been homeless I've been broke I've been one step away from the jail and one step away from the grave but I made it through There came a time in my life that I had to make some tough decisions Either I was gonna step out on faith or I was gonna keep doing things my way I had to give up my way so I stepped out on faith I found out that an idle mind is the devil's workshop So I had to stop doing what I used to do and try something new If it didn't work I tried again If it didn't work I tried again I tried it all over again I started seeing things change for the better I stepped out on faith I started watching things work out in my favor I stepped out on faith It took a while for me to get up on my feet but I stepped out on faith I started seeing things change for the better I stepped out on faith I started watching things work out in my favor I've been there I've done that I could write a book about it cause I've been there and done that I've been there I've done that and I know just what you're going through HOLD ON"
