Best Year So Far

It's been a rough one this week These thoughts are so damn loud Who am I kidding? It's been this way for a while now What will I do to change the script? The channel so to speak? I'll do absolutely nothing and watch the same damn thing If my actions were a fraction of the things I said Then maybe I wouldn't be stranded in this bed Could be a better man Even a better friend Someone you can look up to when you're down I'll do the best I can I've got this in my hands  To make this the best year so far Getting started on what I've been neglecting Like drinking more water and folding my clothes Renew a few scripts Even schedule that appointment It's been a long time coming Holding on from what's been done Take the risk Take the drive to gain some traction To elicit that reaction I've been yearning for so damn long Could be a better man Even a better friend Someone you can look up to when you're down I'll do the best I can I've got this in my hands  To make this the best year so far Sure you can stay here and sit just sulk In this bed with these walls of your room If life was so easy then would it be worth it?
