Inevitable Return

From this mantle I watch as the earth falls apart The sky will fall as the sun swallows us whole This plague we call mortality will get us all Stuck in the rotten skin of a dying world Merely rust in the veins of our host Abortions in the eyes of the creator Nothing lasts forever Death will come for us You and everyone you know We all die alone Watch it all turn to black Feel your lungs fail you Let the dust fill your body as you return to the earth Back to the obscurity that gave you life We are nothing but a complex configuration of atoms Bound by the laws of nature We will return to the earth Back to the dust we'll fall Material beings returned to particles Creations dismantled A symbol that all that lives will die
