Yeah My words are written in case My thoughts could never be traced Melodies flow right off of my head I am an artist you cannot replace If God is so near, then why can't I wait I got all the time, so why can't I stay If heaven on earth then where's my estate I come for the food and drinks I like how it tastes But truthfully I don't really pray like usually I say that I do but foolishly I live in the moment Nah, more like the middle I can't even lie I don't even try But the times that I do The devil not little I hate that I sin But never told God Not used to the culture Don't know if I'm wrong Inside my mind there is a war Between emotions never seen before When my dad died, it left a toll So I started running to help my soul I ran fast like I was scared Feared my death but I was prepared Always acted like I never cared But I never knew that you were there Yeah And You can see my face, you can recognize There's relationships I can't reconcile "Hey Riley, it's been a while," You only called cuz I'm up now Don't follow me cuz I'm uptown Where the famous people get drunk at Calling out all the drug rats They make you bleed like thumbtacks I'm on church stages with a mic now Lord, I came to You as a broken vessel Found me and paid my dues And I know I ain't nun special Late nights stressing over school That's the time witchu that I would wrestle Don't call em lyrics, this a whole prayer So I wrote it to Him, I ain't use a pencil Three nails, one cross Now all are forgiven I been rapping the Gospel I'm still the same Christian We stepping on demons And you gon' be the witness I hit 'em with these verses That you can't even finish Yeah It's really just poetry to me Can't even express the palette I have The colors I see, the times that I laughed I'm different from y'all but share the same news I want y'all to know that God love you too We've all messed up, we all full of sin The kingdom of heaven lets none of us in But we are so loved By the God from above He died a criminals death 100% innocent And He gave us a way for all of to be saved You can't be a lover and not a fighter Cuz you gotta fight for your love Exactly what Jesus did for us
