Here We Are

I woke up this morning Stars were covering my eyes It took some time to wake up But even longer to realize I put away the covers Painfully getting to the seat Placed my hands on the bedside And landed with my feet There's a tough time ahead But just hold on There's a lot to take And it's impossible to realize you're gone We're so alone So I carried on Trying to make the days long Oh I travelled alone And it cured my heart like a song In a wilder country Of helpful souls I didn't know Just a visit for a week Made my whole heart grow There's a tough time ahead But you'll heal There's a lot to take And a whole lot to feel It's all so unreal And so here we are No more eyes filled with stars Just a whole lot of thoughts And healing scars We've come so far Now here we are Now here we are Now here we are Now here we are
