Note to Self

I'm going back to things that I like I pushed them away for most of my life They're things that aren't so bad at all They got me through summer and into the fall There is nothing wrong with how your brain is wired Shed the mask they gave you and get inspired When things are melting down, it gets hard But I can't throw it all away And if you feel like I do too Then write the note that you can't say I can't give up, I'm done with the tears Found my identity after all these years Always take the chance to be whole again And you'll be all right in the end There is nothing wrong with how you want to act Shed the mask they gave you and stay in tact When things are melting down, it gets hard But I can't throw it all away And if you feel like I do too Then write the note that you can't say If everything just stayed the same Then maybe nothing would get done Still, it doesn't hurt to find out why We'll be all right when it's said and done
