The last page is turned, the chapter is closed Took me a long, long, long time, but from the gutters I rose With dirt in my face, mud in my eyes Been down for so long I didn't think I could rise Buried in myself, and in a broken mind Cause all of my mistakes, I couldn't leave behind The damage that's been done, turned me in to someone That don't believe in people and can't trust anyone I been abandoned by the best, examined by the worst It's hard to move on forward when your life's been reversed The memories remained, the caused me so much pain Was only one thing left to do to maintain I'll worry less about the past And more about the present Less on why I failed and More about the lesson I can't expect to grow, and not expect to change Can't live in the past cause all the hurt that it contains I'm finally awake, sculptured by mistakes I still got some negative traits to forsake But the mending has begun Begun Begun Begun Begun Begun Begun Begun
