Jaded

I'm tired of working 9-5/ But it's the only way we've learned to survive/ Hanging on to dreams feeling like a bird on a wire/ While trying other schemes with the sudden urge to retire/ For working men it's complicated enough/ Sitting on a corner bench forced to wait on that bus/ Learn to keep it calm even when your patience is done/ Take heat from your boss just so you could make a few bucks/ Cmon dog this can't be your all there's gotta be more to life/ Those happy things you look forward to just beyond your sights/ Barely getting a moment so you could call the wife/ And do some window shopping just hoping you can ignore the price/ But there's a lapse in design/ Your bills are piling up don't think you're going to have it in time/ Counting hours till the weekend with your plan that's in mind/ But come Monday that's when your freedom ends and back to that grind so hear me out/ I wish that I could throw it all away/ I barely made it through another day/ The stress is weighing down I'm stuck in a rut/ I'm so tired of feeling jaded like enough is enough/ See it's the same ol routine/ And we was taught that's just the way we do things, ugh/ I can't take it fam I'd love to give up/ But I'm so tired of feeling jaded man enough is enough/ I'm tired of working 10-6/ My ends miss so I'm earning some extra shifts/ I'm remaining positive but I'm more of a pessimist/ And try and take advantage that of my employment benefits/ Or should I say a lack there of/ Rather block emotion than to see my fam tear up/ Bad energy's got me feeling like a trapped bearhug/ Negativity's got me leery so I'm back to square one/ Were told they reward us with compensation/ When money isn't coming in choices you gotta make some/ Mortgage, car or groceries options you can't escape from/ Your children gotta eat so them losses you have to take one/ I know this all too well/ Like you wondering where's your heaven cuz you're going through hell/ It's a never ending struggle that we long to prevail/ We gotta make it out this bubble that's our story to tell so listen close/ I wish that I could throw it all away/ I barely made it through another day/ The stress is weighing down I'm stuck in a rut/ I'm so tired of feeling jaded like enough is enough/ See it's the same ol routine/ And we was taught that's just the way we do things, ugh/ I can't take it fam I'd love to give up/ But I'm so tired of feeling jaded man enough is enough/ I wish that I could throw it all away/ I barely made it through another day/ The stress is weighing down I'm stuck in a rut/ I'm so tired of feeling jaded like enough is enough/ See it's the same ol routine/ And we was taught that's just the way we do things, ugh/ I can't take it fam I'd love to give up/ But I'm so tired of feeling jaded man enough is enough/
