Build your inner wall And cower behind it So that the world Will not behold Your Warped Facade Design the verbal trap And dig a moat So that all wanderers Will never reach the core Construct the labyrinth With bricks and mortar and deceit And fill it with hallucinations So that the truth will never be revealed Shatter the ground that binds And drift as an island to the waters So that none can ever see That you are empty Created through scars of the past A living kicking screaming fear Paranoia that roams these halls Pushing further all who dare come near No trust or care, I dare to spare For this undeserving world Sway them with big words Tell them what they want to hear Wear the mask and never take it off A fake grin and veins full of fear No one will ever live to see My center of existence The ever-growing, ever-bleeding wound The gaping hole, wormed forever Where life once roamed now there is nothing And when I stare all I can see Is nothing has remained And all the effort I could give wouldn't affect a thing Where life once roamed now there is nothing
