Glowing Up

Started writing bars about my hardships When the bottle took my mom it was the hardest I had to keep it moving for my siblings Even though it wasn't right how we were living On and on I went until my childhood was gone Highly introverted I was always alone I was so lost like a dog without a bone I was steady roaming place to place without a home I never stopped showing up I never stopped showing love I seen a lot growing up Now look at me glowing up I never stopped showing up I never stopped showing love I seen a lot growing up Now look at me glowing up After alcohol had come and done all of its damage Had to get my mind right 'cause I had a life to manage Could've looked at all the failures instead of the highlights Could've been an alcoholic could've taken my life Nothing left to give I've felt it all before Lost the will to live laying on the floor My family's crying out to me from the living room We can make it through, I am living proof I never stopped showing up I never stopped showing love I seen a lot growing up Now look at me glowing up I never stopped showing up I never stopped showing love I seen a lot growing up Now look at me glowing up Could've kept on running from my problems for a lifetime I needed to make some changes had to get my life right I can do it you can do it we can do it we'll get through it Just keep it moving smoothly going with the flow like fluid All is said and done I am number one I am nothing less I am next to none Life is going on I keep going strong Giving up is wrong so I keep on glowing on
