I'm coming to you father yeah to write my wrongs If it wasn't for you I wouldn't be writing these songs To help others see the good in this life So much corruption is erupting it's hard to see right That light shines bright as it hits my skin Reminding me the time you chose to step in and forgave my sins Thinking this is crazy, cos I didn't understand That each and everyone of us is part of a much bigger plan Didn't feel I deserve it though, not a kid like me Running from happiness, until you showed me what it could be A lot of us are hurting getting lost on the map Hitting dead end roads you know too stubborn to go back This path were walking doesn't make sense at times You're saying every challenging moment was coated with a silver line I didn't see it yeah, I thought I was cursed You're saying everything will be okay so Ill trust in your word You found me at the bottom and I'm sure it hurt Your children are fighting and crying while dying lying down in the dirt Segregation by the nation on race and their opinion Religion kicking you if you are not believing what they are preaching Not trying to knock those who are qualified Some of them leading churches are trying to sell us all their lies Saying they want your money and God demands all that Last I checked God don't need our dollars, man created that We also created destruction hate power and greed All of the worse types of traits you find in most human beings You only want our love yeah as a father who cares A free willed child just trying to find out why were all so scared I'm looked at like a criminal for the tats that are on my skin The type music I make and most of all who I believe in I see my brother suffering my sisters are hurting too What I seen when you saved me I wish I could show them too Show them too I wish I could just show them you You know You stepped in You gave me a second chance
