Shattered

Sleepless nights, get the best of me Restless mind, I'm dying to be free No stranger, I've been fighting me fears Keeping my head down, trying to survive another year It's been a hell of a ride, when I look in my eyes It's sad every day I'm contemplating suicide It's crossing my mind, I'm a passenger at times Needing change of the season, new moon, high tide We all got thoughts, we don't bring out Fear of judgement, neglect and being shut down What's keeping me going, is there's gotta be more Then this pain I've been feeling, so tattered so torn Fighting back I react when I'm under attack Depression compresses me, there's no going back A challenge to be grateful that I'm even still here When I've lived my whole life being driven by fear It doesn't get better as I'm watching the news There's hate behind opinions and political views Religious separation is offensive abuse Rather then coming together healing each others wounds Reason some say they got nothing to lose Driven to bending and breaking the rules Words can decide life or death if set loose Reactions push you over the top, it's a fuse Didn't think that kid would end up in a noose Sad fact, we're all searching for some inner respect Some are shattered inside feeling regret Memories burn it's a fire I'm trying to forget We battle inside, we don't like to show Seeing all of your faces believe it gives me hope I'm the voice to all who've been living on the run I'm MackkMilli DOA and we've only just begun
