It's like I'm on a battlefield, afraid of what's to come Not afraid to die by the bullet, but live with what I've done Oh God I pray that I was dreaming, just my mind playing games I stared her in the eyes prior to it, screaming out words of hate But Why, did I have to break, every vow that we made together And Why did I stand aside, when I didn't know that it would be forever I rushed in to the car and headed, to where you called me in distress I pulled you out from underneath wreckage, only moments from death She said "I'd, like to name the girl Lily", as she pointed at the baby she carried And "before I die, try to save her, and take care of her better than you did me I didn't save her, I didn't save her Down on my knees Ambulance rushin' in, tryin to save the kid I'm just lying here regretting all the things I did Can't stop thinking about it, can't stop crying bout it I can't live or go on, without my wife!
