I know better days await me Cause they take them from me I gotta focus on whats real I gotta make some money Im just thinking bout this life And how its kind of funny A brothas been stressing So i been looking for some brighter days When she start playing with your feelings Just let her go Just let her fly away I got no time for sitting back And playing pity games I only see you twice a year But you dont wanna hang Cause it was different on the phone Why now the sudden change Please dont act like you my friend But you dont feel my pain You would rather see me lacking Then to level up Man I got so many haters In the toilet like a massive dump In the hood with the fam You know we cracking up Pour some water out the bottle To the plastic cup Cause the water in the faucet White just like the walls They put poison in the hoods They tryna kill us all But we cant focus on the things That we cant control Im tryna find some better days Before its time to go Better days are such a blessing Most my people know Better days keep ya up They keep ya head afloat Better days are necessary Or depression take control Better days are the light in the dark When you aint got no where to go Better days are the warmth on your back When you aint got no warm clothes Do you feel somewhat superior When you look at me When you living Are you mad because you struggling Cause you living a facade You wont tell the truth You got some cars And many chains And you got lots of shoes Are you living to your means What are you tryna prove Cause possessions dont define who you really are You human till the day That you aint here no more Spread the wealth into the family Buy ya self a home Better days Life is hard But i would say thats how it has to be Cause when you black You suck it up and keep on smiling We dont have the right To show our real emotions We got to act like we alright And keep on coasting Better days Tryna keep a clear perspective Tryna stay my path I be cooking in the lab With a pen and pad Writing songs and writing books So i can stay from mad Because you know that its a struggle All the time man Im tryna keep myself concentrated Im drowning I love to make other people happy When times bad I know better days await me I know better days ahead
