When I wake up I realize That I'm living that die Put my feelings in pocket There's no reason to cry Cause you can't fight the inevitable Accept that's yo life See you just do what you can While u here And spend time wit yo family Cause they won't be here forever And know when it rains it pours They got time for businesses But no time for the poor Got them sleeping on the ground Sleeping out in the cold While this corona affecting masses Got us locked behind doors Never spent so much time in the house Without choice Take this time to reflect on yo life What can change Spend some time wit yo family And remove all them stains And all that inner pain Forgive yo self For the things you cannot change And understand the future holds a brighter day Certain things Will never penetrate your inner peace If you know the truth I'd like to say imma good person A good model for the youth See I was born in lost generation That's bound to leave Most my brothas in incarceration A sad life Cause we won't focus on our obligations We caught up And we get trapped within our temptations Our minds clouded with all this irritation Cause u wish that you was in a better situation That's how they leave us Got us lost And concentrating on the wrong things We more focused on the money Then we focused on a change Cause we don't care about our brothas and sistas That is locked up in a cell like a slave
