Nightmare

All of these leaves fall right at my feet And whisper to sit and pray I gazed at the moon and started to swoon Begged her to take me away Well one night I dreamt I dreamt and I wept And it was all misunderstood The back of my eyelids filled up all the silence While my mind was up to no good And I disagree that all that we see Is all that we'll have everyday You were named by a river, came down with a fever Too bold to want to stay Oh I long to be free but there's some of me That's terrified of this mind And you were so free like a sail on the sea I thought you were just my kind And one night a tree fell right at my knee And it was a weeping willow I cried and I cried and we looked inside To see that it was all hollow Well who dug it out?
