Ironically, this has to be The worst part inside of me Knowing you has to be Possibly the most desperate plea It takes honesty Something more than me But I'll probably be Stuck in the mess of everything And I think I've seen this all before When I said, "Where were you in the hurricane?" But I didn't think you'd ask me the same Where were you when it all went wrong? But I was the missing one all along Here on earth, it's Church And I search, I search, I search For something that is worth More than life, or death, or birth For something that I've known That's outgrown, I've overflowed Into a boat you've built for me to drown in And I think I've seen this all before When I said, "Where were you in the hurricane?"
