Caring on a Rainy Day

Give a break the dimmest of dawns rain pours down on the front lawn I look out through broken glass, tell myself this too shall pass And my dog stretches and yawns still that rain drops on my lawn Grass ain't green its too early for spring to give that to me But I don't care, today I'm an optimist And I won't fear, the things I'd resist if I was in a rut Blue like the sky tell myself the reasons for why like my health But that's a lie, I'm sick and I'm tired, half awake, half baked and wired Don't you laugh, i crack up just fine, broken like a dropped glass of wine And bitch like royalty about all the things that don't effect me In your head, I wonder what I look like Cuz in my head, I look like an idiot The dandelion only gets this year So it must think of time so dear When its old and the wind decides This is the day you will die I feel fine
