Dark Skies

I've let my thoughts get the best of me And wasted too many years on the world in my head So even in a crowded room I still feel alone But dark skies don't always mean rain Always searching for problems Thinking of all the ways that things could go wrong If I draw first blood there'll be none left to bleed But dark skies don't always mean rain What have I been hiding from And where's it taken me Why did I think that was strong And how has it taken so long to see The walls are crumbling all around me The person who build them fades further every day Holding things together was the best he could do But dark skies don't always mean rain
