We were two hearts beating as one Laughing with friends sharing the sun Through countless adventures together we played In your eyes my worries would fade We shared our lives our dreams our fears Together through the laughter and tears But suddenly you let me go Left me lost nowhere to go Endless nights and days so cold Heart shattered pain took hold Tears fell like a summer rain Drowning in a sea of pain Love faded and you walked away Left me alone with nothing to say Out of the blue our paths did part Leaving me adrift with a broken heart In the quiet shadows softly play Memories linger won't fade away In the silence of the night I fought to find my light Endless nights and days so cold Heart shattered pain took hold Tears fell like a summer rain Drowning in a sea of pain Now I see the strength within In the hurt a chance to begin Rising up from all I've known Finding courage in the unknown It's okay to walk alone To find the path that's truly our own For every tear there's a seed of grace In moving on we find our place Though the road was hard and long From the struggle I've grown strong In the end I've learned to mend Now I've found myself again
