Lament of the Fallen

Father I stare into a sackcloth sky And watch this moon drip tears of blood And father My battered body cries For the grievance Of a thousand tortured souls My lord my God I’ve failed thee Yet my disciples and I did try And within the bounds Of this most sacred ground It is here we all shall die The ageless goddess that is my soul Helps me pierce this veil of lies I transcend above And watch below  As My body burns and dies Flesh cremate My soul escape I ignite in effigy  Merge into collective thought Matter becomes energy I am the grand architect  Of this universe I lead you through this  Weft and weave and Filaments You now traverse There is truth in what they say But truth is veiled in lie These deities deception Has caused this world to die  I am the grand architect A new son must soon rise Your energy turns back to matter As the phoenix you'll arise Are you so narrow minded That you cannot forsee the truth That these pains of war Shall be lessened By your enemy’s Unborn youth So I gaze into These lifeless holes That once were called Your eyes And breath this breath of life back in thee So you may once again arise
