Thief of Light

In darkness deep I stumble blind And grasp to keep My shattered mind Trapped within this knot of sin Affixed on nothing but escape Wrapped herin my frozen skin Betwixt this light that i must take Encircled in thirteen of kin I seize resolve for my life’s sake Transfixed upon this light in nights Embrace that they’d forsake Now i see All that was meant to be Our hopes our dreams Our whole future it does seem A point in time A choice that now is mine To thieve this life From death and make him mine From death and make him mine Between the trees A twisted sight The dark my cloak To thieve this light A sacrifice this newborns fate And yet he radiates with light A blinding flash, their ayes ablate As he takes away their sight In a moments pause I’ve snatched from jaws We’re in flight as we now flee A newborns cause Torn from the claws Of sacrificial destiny Now i see All that was meant to be Our hopes our dreams Our whole future it does seem A point in time A choice that now is mine To thieve this life From death and make him mine From death and make him mine
