On a rugged bench, we stared Into the dead of night At the glowing red towers In silence She asked If I had felt it too I nodded So we continued to sit In the comfort of A space between words Nestled in a feeling That could never be seized- An emotion imprisoned By the beauty of silence On a rugged bench, I stared Into the dead of night At the glowing red towers Alone After the last conversation We ever shared Then the silence roared in echoes As it towered from above A faceless fiend of thought Blurring that which it was of Writing words to be more precise Is but shooting them In a direction Hurtling closer towards Something of the unknown Love is like an autumn leaf Held on too tight It will crumble Held on too loose It will float away
