I found an old letter You once wrote- Long ago Words I've forgotten Yet feel Etched in stone As if they were placed All nice and neat On an old crooked road- Or the base of my spine Staying put as I grow Words of a time Before either us fought Words of a time When we felt love was caught When now- the present Was merely a thought When a world- us apart Was a thought never crossed Some say words don't matter Some say words hold weight But yours- I couldn't help it As I read between the space In another world I was you And you were me So here I am Pen and paper Writing this for we I guess this is my way of saying Thank you For simply existing- I hope the old crooked road Has graced you with bliss Sincerely M
