Unbridled phases Lucid notions spared no blood Imperious, they came in droves, wave after wave A dreamless void running like clockwork Unknown to us, lie in our hands So thinly veiled yet defiant, shaped our thoughts Drowned, full of hate Darkness of light entered the oculus Hearts left grieving while voices were decried Boundless purging of thought and critique Stowed away as peasants or prey Scarred, quivered with fear Emptiness blind the eyes Imperative expansion in our time Social realms that burned within Bearing witness to the tyranny Give rise to senseless hate Words salving the conscience Devoid of one's free will It feeds the endless cycle of callous and despotic reign When will their eyes open wide? When will the shackled be freed? Left consuming the scraps that dropped in Which thrives among the meek There is no reprieve
