She Went Away

I don't want to live forever I don't want to be around when the love is gone She went away Let us spend our time together Knowing that our precious youth wouldn't last too long She couldn't stay She's going home I miss her so When she said "Let's live together" I knew she'd make our little house into a loving home But now I walk these halls alone Having fun with each endeavor She brought light to every memory that I've known But now I'm crying on my own She's going home I miss her so Living, growing old together Letting detriments of time finally take hold She couldn't recognize my face Spending every day there with her Watching as the hidden forces took control She told me that she felt afraid I held her hand Said, "It's okay" She smiled again And went away
