Power grids are failing The internet is down There's panic in the streets Fear spreads round this town The markets are in ruins Financial houses burn People going crazy As systems overturn Traffic at a standstill Sirens everywhere Black smoke from the sewers Choking up the air Bankers stand on ledges Politicians run Media people hounded For the lies that they have spun But there's no cause for alarm It's just the storm before the calm Police are looking jaded Ready to disband They know the situation's Completely out of hand There's gunshots in the distance The army is at war But they've no idea What they're fighting for The sky is looking dangerous The clouds are rolling in There's lightening from the heavens And distant rumbling Someone plays a trumpet Someone bangs a drum It feels like it's today That judgement day is come But there's no cause for alarm It's just the storm before the calm
