Up with the sun Way above any shade you can throw at me Womp, womp, womp Cry about it kids Y'all are itty-bitty fish, I'm a meg But the don is a decent chap Here's a victory lap Picking at my dinner Cuz I'm wrapt in the singing Of the Killdeer ringing in the New Year Fit for the winter but the chill ain't coming Changing Nature makes her case For shaking off her wayward son And the jaybird hums, "You would beg for the shade this close to the sun And the meg got bumped by his cousin" Humbling Nothing in the background Nothing holds the center Holy roamer, rolling over lowly man I AM THE WEATHER But a thought could stop a sensitive heart So now I'm thinking it over I was formed in the optimum conditions Free of need and all quaint human tradition No sturdy trees to curb our speed Just plains of pavement Ain't it convenient? I was formed in the great late-stage experiment A quiet storm with a lazy rage within it I'm insatiable and indifferent And it's spinning hither for you You think you found the riddle Hidden in the scripture?
