Iron colossus slowly we are dying The ghosts of our past are now here Used to kill our Mother who saw us born And now forgotten for eternity We destroy your lives We poisoned your future We are at your pictures Extraordinary and frightful figure That the landscape takes at nightfall What the author sees would have seemed To Virgil the Tartarus and to Dante Hell A frightening candlestick Eighty feet high And throws on the rocks Which flames in the landscape Forest and ravines Sinister reverberations Iron Giant Iron Giant Now asleep in coldness No errant souls Iron cathedral Abandoned by our creators A long and deep sigh Coming from our skeleton We wait patiently For the returns of our masters Iron Giant Iron Giant
