Corrupted Earth

Can you see the foulness that we've made through walking this world? Greed and selfishness have corroded the purity of the Earth The world is crumbling beneath my feet, dying in front of me The undeniable destination we're fated towards Polluting with everything we create Against the light, against life We are acting as false gods without fear of extinction Against the seas, against the sky Destroying everything that made us alive Consciousness has been soiled with blackened gold You sold your soul for mud molded like diamond, we are so wrong You can't overcome what was alive before our incursion The death of us is imminent after all that we have done Will we ever be the same as we were before? I'm drowning, wading through the shadows Know the only truth, we are abandoned Further down the waters our nations collapse This should be the beginning of the new age, spiritual growth that the world has waited This should be the rebirth of the earth, as a new stage The way of life we've enjoyed carelessly, must end before it's way too late We must believe inside ourselves that any change will begin with oneself There is no escape, nature will take care of reigning again The downfall of man, it is the price that we accept to take Will we ever be the same as we were before?
