Into The Void

Where do I fit in in this cosmic grave? Is anything real? Are we just a dream? Unfathomable fiction Unwanted, unseen What is our purpose? Why are we here? Was it all for nothing? Is the end near? The blindest god In the darkest depths Could not fathom such missteps A blink and you'll miss it Wiped out of existence Awaken to a hellish abyss We peer past the veil To see if we were born to fail Such a maddening sight As we gaze beyond the light Will the answers let us grow? Or is it more than we could ever know? Face to face with my own existence The life I know fades into the distance As we dive in to entropy We fall further from reality I stare into the void and all that I see Is endless eyes staring back at me What if this is all that could ever be?
