No Longer Broken

To be honest I didn't like who I was A couple years ago I felt like this life wasn't enough I was clouded by money I kept my face in the mud I let my emotions control me asking what have I've done To deserve this shit, had the nerve to get Upset at everyone for no reason I'm hurting them Robing myself of the moment feeling deserted wind Acting like I was ok really a broken mess I try to pick up all the pieces but at times I can't I gave my heart out to this woman never got it back I miss my homie he's the realest friend I ever had That phone call that his sister gave me playback in my head My friend I miss so I reminisce I notice I took life for granted won't do that again These demons do not get invited I wont let them in Some feelings do not go away I guess I'm stuck with them Damn Life can get better if you want it to Don't tell me that it can't Just open your mind, and ill show you how you can But you we got to pay attention, got to wise up I tell my brother all the time we got to level up Cause if we don't well be stuck with the crowd And before we even know it they'll be dragging us down I noticed that I wasn't happy I was living in A broken state of mind its hard for me to live again I was uneducated looking for some medicine To help me out whenever I was in my head again I Understand things happened in my life that effected me I know that now that my mind all this time was really my enemy Ain't no telling me I'm working on myself for the better me I've been reading now meditation now is my remedy Life is changing for the better and I notice its amazing I'm so grateful for the talent I was gaven Now its my job to get others out the matrix Give me some time and you'll see the difference that I'm making Look at what you have bet you have enough And don't make the same mistake by not showing love To the ones you love you ain't talked in months A conversation is waiting so don't you give it up Life can get better if you want it to Don't tell me that it can't Just open your mind, and ill show you how you can But you we got to pay attention, got to wise up I tell my brother all the time we got to level up Cause if we don't well be stuck with the crowd And before we even know it they'll be dragging us down
