Ive heard the water from where you came Glows a certain turquoise color I've seen the pictures, you showed me then But I can't really smell the ocean , so I guess what ill have to do instead I'll get to know Jamaica through your smile If it's inviting and welcoming I guess im up to have a good start, I know Sapphire skies on are now on sight They clear the way for me, into the ocean The water's quiet, sails are calm I can (feel) tell it's heavenly and oh I hope I get to visit you in homeland, before we part I've heard you (whisper under your breath) Whether Patois or Spanish( I know just what You meant) Is it the hummingbirds you say That makes you stubborn like the sun rays On my Face I can't deny it, I can't speak Your body grooves , your moves have set me Loose It drives electric synchrony And liberate my calling, to explore I'm starting to realize The land I called unknown is now familiar Sensations overflow my heart I'm finally starting to vocalize The scents that cover me Caribbean reef and salt. Thank you for letting me in your homeland, in your arms. I've heard Jamaica from where I came. Can be a great refresher for hot weather. Is refreshing to drink in this hot weather. It's not hibiscus that's not the same But regardless I know Jamaica's where I'll stay.
