Holding on to what could've been Memories on my mind I'm Thinking bout the things that I should've said You know it's bad Cause I like talking to my therapist Oh my mind It gets so happy sometimes But I remind myself Of the times I've felt Like I know it's bad But not too hard to tell That deep down things are not okay But I act like they are anyway So when you see me say hello I'll probably have my doubts in tow And when I see you don't be sad Cause if you are I'll know it's bad Comprehending infinity I probably don't have time To look back in the past And I'll try to see See if you were mine I'm still growing up to my potential, see Waiting takes too long I'm still not sure if all that I hoped to be Was just me all along So when you see me say hello I'll probably have my doubts in tow And when I see you don't be sad Just remember what we could've had Cause I can't just lose this I worked up to it This is my wish Can't you see That we both knew it Jumped right to it But this ain't new shit Lucky me And all my friends know That I won't let go Until you say so Make sure that we Know we're all set oh There will be doubt though Cause this was never meant to be And with new highs there come new lows I thought I'd have something to show So for my mistakes I atone I'm glad I'm not alone
