Nostalgia

It all used to make sense But those are days gone by I should be over it But i still need more time Whenever I close my eyes It's still your face i see You may not be around But you still have a hold of me Every once in a while My brain will go away And bury itself in times That it now deems were great Doesn't matter that then Things were still crumbling down All that matters to me Is that they're not right now Nostalgia, you freeze me to my core Romanticizing what never worked before Nostalgia, you're a menace and a thief You take away the poison but you leave me with the grief Following that line down I'm sure today will seem All pleasant rosy and pure In future memory I wonder am i alone In this self-fulfilling loop?
