you know... today was supposed to be another ordinary day at the beach, it was to everyone else but today... something was different... it was uhh... odd I couldn't stop thinking, it's like I was looking in a mirror I sit around having thoughts of something more, yeah The waves crashing at the shore it's pretty thought provoking As the sun starts to set, and the moon rises I can't ignore, it's coming back with whispers and surprises Yeah, I don't know what the f*ck is going on now Frustrated, exhausted, I just can't take it now I feel the world crumbles underneath my feet now Scared of the future cuz the present seems so bleak now That's funny, cuz the way I feel is kinda odd Everybody says "hey that guy is kinda odd, be careful around him just look at his face" Just an ordinary guy with too bad of a case It's sick, it's twisted It's blinded vision It's a fake reality born of pain and wrong A terrible place where everything is wrong I just wanna get away, take me with the fucking waves Take me with the waves, baby Take me with the waves Take me somewhere far away Somewhere I can be okay Take me with the waves, baby Take me with the waves Take me somewhere far away Somewhere I can be okay The salty air, the sand, the sky, it's got me thinking lately Got me in some details, but do it kinda vaguely I close my eyes, thinking I should let it all go Sometimes I say "maybe I should let it all go" Still, I keep my head high to the sky But with such a fucking burden, I might just die "I'll get better" "I'll heal" it's just another fucking lie But if I keep it up, then maybe i can get by It's not funny anymore, not even ironic I lie to myself, and you could say this shit is chronic So much to bear that I can't even think to bear it all I can't get out of here, catch me or I'm gonna fall I wish that I could go with the waves, find a new direction I think with time I might've lost my sense of direction It's not all the time I'm left like this But the times I do, I still get lost in my thoughts, yeah I still get lost at night Lost in my dreaming time Memories back from fine Back to get all my time I still get lost when trying Memory back from time All my thoughts on at night All my life's on the line
