Well, I fell in love with the girl from the grammar police Correction's her job and her joy and it puts her at ease But as for me? Well, I've never been one to take words that seriously A winsome smile and wink always worked for me But now I'm gonna have to try For the girl of my dreams 'Cause could there ever be a more excellent sight Than the lovely legs of a grammar girl in neon light? She's very bright! Well, what can I say to a girl from the grammar police? Her cold morphologist's eye is always roving on me But as for she She breaks her thoughts into perfect sets Broken down into exes and effs With all these nine dollar words I know I'll never get And no I don't know the difference between which and whether But she always seems to be right at the end of her tether She's very clever! Would it help at all if I opened up the dictionary? And tried to memorize your labyrinthine vocabulary?
